Eeranna’s lamb fattening unit in Tumkur district

Eeranna belongs to the Yadav community of South Karnataka, who have traditionally reared small ruminants. His is a family of five comprising himself, his wife, two sons and a daughter. The family owns 2.5 acres of rain-fed agricultural land on which maize, groundnut, ragi and horse gram is grown. He also owns one buffalo, five goats and 123 lambs.
