He and his wife are both involved in the harvesting of the grass which is a demanding job; cutting the grass, put it in bundles, carry it to and pack it on the bullock cart and ferry it home, off load and store it. On this plot 4-5 persons per day for a period of 8 days did the cutting; on average 150 bundles per person per day are made. The wage paid for it is 50 Rs per day. Although both men and women are involved, women are in the majority.
