Participatory Model for Water Harvesting and Development of Community Pastures in Thar Desert

The document captures the development of the participatory model of water harvesting and Community pasture development. This model was developed under the aegis of a UNDP project on Participatory Management of Natural Resources to control Land degradation in the Thar Desert Ecosystem, executed jointly by the Ministiry of Environment and Forests, Ministry of Rural Developent, Govt. of Rajasthan and the Jal Bhagirathi (JBF) Foundation. The document builds upon the selective case studies, from the village Tir Singh Garhi in Barmer district and Panchayat Samit Sojat in Pali district in Rajasthan.
