बायफ का उद्देशय है ग्रामीण परिवारों, विशेषकर वंचित और संसाधन गरीब परिवारों के लिये लाभकारी स्वरोज़गार के अवसरों का सृजन करना, तथा सुनिश्चित करना कि उनकी आजीविका मे स्थिरता हो और उनके जीवन की गुणवत्ता मे सुधार हो। इन उद्देश्यों को प्राप्त करने की दिशा मे बायफ ने सहभागी समुदाय से निरंन्तर बातचीत जारी रखी ताकि उनके द्वारा सामना की गई बाधाओं को पहचानने मे मदद कर सकें तथा सब मिल कर स्थानीय उपलब्ध संसाधनो के आधार पर संभव समाधान पर विचार कर सकें। कौशल मे बढ़ोतरी तथा प्रौद्योगिकी और ज्ञान संसाधन की पहुँच को सरल बनाना, अन्य प्रमुख कार्यान्वन रणनीतियाँ है।

The note shows how community protection and management of the commons has led both to increasing the output of grasses and thereby promoting livestock development, and has also contributed to improving the water table with a resultant increase in the area under cultivation and improved crop productivity.
