Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR)
An index of efficiency expressed in terms of kilograms of feed consumed for each kilogram of live weight gain in livestock reared primarily for meat purposes. FCR=Total feed consumed / Weight of livestock.
Carrier
An apparently healthy individual that transmits disease to other individuals without showing symptoms of disease.
Chick Growing Agreement
A contract agreement reached between the integrator and the chick rearer for rearing chicks provided by the integrator at the rearer’s premises under agreed norms and conditions.
